“A blank canvas workspace for deep work, where people add the colour and the ambiance.”

Brief: Design Strategy and Design System
Co-working company theDesk, founded in Hong Kong in 2015, is a collaborative work and event space with more than 150,000 square feet. Whereas traditional co-working spaces are cluttered with colours, theDesk space diverges from the conventional co-working concept with its minimal yet bold approach that eliminates distractions and, most importantly, provides a “white or blank canvas” that lets the community and its people add the colour. Its no-nonsense proposition draws attention to its three central beliefs: productivity, flexibility and community.
The uncluttered environment presents co-working members with a spacious workspace for deep focus and high productivity while those members who inhabit private offices have the flexibility to transform their blank spaces any way they desire.
This pioneering co-working concept was recognised with several international awards including a Design For Asia (DFA) award, Tokyo TDC Annual Awards, New York One Show Awards, and The Golden Pin award.
